The Top 10 Posts of 2011

It seems to be all the fashion come this time of a year, so much like Ed Miliband, having seen the nearest bandwagon I’m jumping on it.  In reverse order

10.  What is the point of Liberal Youth?! -

Asking the important question what is the point of Liberal Youth, and can it ever be fixed, I caused much controversy and a  little bit of hand wringing. The question still remains though, and as predictably as I stated, nothing about Liberal Youth changed in 2011

9.  Is this the end of Johann Hari? #Interviewswithhari

I tackled whether Hari’s career was finished. I was right. It is.

8. Chav vs Toff … What is the difference Polly Toynbee?

After a Liberal Democrat Lord got into trouble for tweeting the word Chav. The great socialist and moraliser Polly “i’m a massive hypocrite” Toynbee went on the attack, this was my retort. I still didn’t get an answer, what is the difference between Chav and Toff Polly?

7. The Sex Education Show – Illiberal nonsense?

I got on my soapbox and wrote about the illiberalness of the sex education show. It seemed fairly popular over the year, and is still garnering hits. Silly sex education show!

6.  Jodie McIntyre – Sacked from the Independent

Somewhat triumphantly revealing that the biggest twitter twat of the year had been sacked for inciting violence

5. Lib Dems vote to ban page 3 models? The truth.

At Conference the Lib Dems voted on a rather poorly worded policy about “banning” page 3 in newspapers. We didn’t, the motion is included and an explanation of what exactly we voted for is included in the blog.
4. Today is the day I say NO to Labour lies on tuition fees. Won’t you join me?

This was a long rebuttal to all the Labour lies on tuition fees, it’s a better system posted by a minority party on their first mistake. As opposed to a “radical progressive” party imposing an utterly unfair repayment system with a majority government

3. Nick Clegg’s miserable little compromise.

During the AV election,  many people were misquoting Nick Clegg. I sought to explain the truth.

2. #Enfield & #Tottenham Riots: The ugly side of twitter emerges.

Another post about Jody McIntyre and the vile tweets he was posting about the London Riots.

1. The Pictures that tell the stories of the London Riots.

During the London Riots twitter came alive with pictures and images of the events as they were happening, almost in a live blog i tried to compile them. This was my attempt, and with over 3,000 views is my post popular post of 2011!

Thankyou to all my wonderful readers, and have a very good new year in 2012!
