About Me
There once lived a 23 year old blogger named Andrew Emmerson. He often liked to blog on current affairs, but often throws in academic work and the occasional personal blog.
He has just graduated from the University of Winchester in Politics and Global Studies, and now intends all being well to study a masters in International Politics covering Globalization, Poverty, and Development.
The mystical blogger often can be found tweeting under the name @AAEmmerson, and you can subscribe to his twitter blog account at @Yellow_Bastards.
He is keen to hear from you and loves it when guests leave comments.

Why David Davis is wrong on lords reform and it’s impact on civil liberties
I hate wasting time talking about lords reform, but sometimes someone writes something so wrong, so stupid, so inherently bad, that I feel I must respond. This time it’s David Davis? A man I don’t have a lot of quarrel … Continue reading

Oi, UKIP, back in your box.
UKIP finally polled above the Lib Dems in a YouGov poll, the UKIP crowd are going mental with delight. Lib Dems are despairing and wondering where it all went wrong. Just remember this, polls don’t make votes, and mid term … Continue reading

Nadine Dorries has a story to tell me involving a bedroom, a deck chair, role playing and a hasty exit!!!
It’s pretty standard Twitter urban myth that Nadine Dorries once tried to get selected as a Lib Dem PPC (Prospective Parliamentary Candidate to me and you) seeing this brought up earlier in the day, I simply suggested that somebody ask … Continue reading
The latest security theatre shows that the FCC has grown stale. It’s time for a change.
The Federal Conference Committee, the committee responsible for organising Liberal Democrat conferences has launched a whitewash designed to ignore the will of conference “listening exercise” on Lib Dem Voice asking people to email their thoughts on an accreditation (conferenceinformation@libdems.org.uk). The fact that they … Continue reading
Big money donations need be stopped but we shouldn’t attack the unions to do it.
Party funding is back in the news, Ed Miliband shifted a customary 1/4 inch on his previous position to get a few headlines, now calling for £5000 cap that wouldn’t include trade union donations. It’s all a good start, but … Continue reading
